I had mentioned to Jess that my daughter has no support group at all as she works and doesn't seek it. My granddaughter is not on the "severe" end of the spectrum. People who meet her don't recognize that she has autism until they hang around for a while. Still, being her caretaker whilst my daughter works, I have made friends with autism moms and it has been a blessing to me to be able to share and be given advice.
