Today I'm thankful for mom's like you who work tirelessly to make the world a better and more accepting place for all children- regardless of whether or not they have special needs. Keep it up, I think it's working :)
We had our first zero stress Thanksgiving here as well. My folks moved down south over the summer and my sister and her spouse went down to stay with them for the holiday.
Our tiny family of three had a no travel - no visitors holiday. My folks "ate" with us via skype through a laptop perched on the dinner table.
At the end of the day my little man, who is normally in meltdown by that point, said "That was really nice!" with a satisfied sigh.
So happy for you! We've just put my oldest in a "real" big-boy bed, and your picture inspired me to try a sleeping bag in the hopes, well, he might actually sleep in the big-boy bed... It's gotten a bit better, thanks for the inspiration!
What a GREAT idea!!!! My son loves his tent but I haven't slept in it with him yet. We'll have to try it sooner than later. My son has Aspergers; I'm loving your blog. Check mine out @ Modernmomredefined.blogspot.com
