Good call

I was sitting at my desk when my cell phone rang.

"Hello?"

Silence. "Hi."

"Hi, Bud!" (Bud??? You never want to to talk on the phone!)

"Guess what?"

"What?"

"My tooth came out!"

"It did?? Wow! That's so cool!"

"Yeah. I take it to school."

"That's a great idea. You know who'll want to see it?"

"Who does?"

"Sophie! Her tooth came out yesterday, remember?"

"YEAH!!!"

And, just like that, one tiny baby tooth gives way to spotlight three great big giant steps forward.
